This website is operated by Educa Foundation ("Educa", "we", "us"), a not-for-profit registered in India and based in Bankra, West Bengal. By accessing or using educafoundation.org (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Educa Foundation

Educa Foundation partners with schools, communities and donors to deliver education-led change across West Bengal, India. Programmes include scholarships, learning kits, mentoring, digital learning, wellbeing and career readiness. Donations to Educa Foundation are eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

2. Use of the Site

  • You may browse the Site, share links, and download materials that are clearly marked for public use (for example, the CSR impact deck and press kit).
  • You must not attempt to interfere with the Site, its security, or with other visitors' access.
  • You must not scrape the Site to build competing lists of beneficiaries, donors or partners.
  • You must be legally capable of entering into these terms in your jurisdiction.

3. Donations and 80G receipts

Donations processed via the Partner & Donate flow are collected by regulated payment partners. On successful contribution we issue an 80G-eligible receipt to the donor details provided. Please verify the details you submit — corrections after issuance may require re-issuance and can take several working days. Refunds are considered only where a donation was made in error and are governed by our refund practice notified at the time of contribution.

4. Content and intellectual property

All text, photographs, illustrations, logos, videos, programme frameworks and reports on the Site are the property of Educa Foundation or used with permission. You may quote short excerpts with a link back to educafoundation.org. Any other reuse — including in commercial materials, training data sets, or AI systems — requires our prior written consent at info@educafoundation.org.

5. Stories, photos and consent

We publish learner stories with the consent of the learner and, where applicable, their parent or guardian. If you are featured in a story and would like it amended or removed, write to info@educafoundation.org and we will act promptly.

6. User submissions

When you submit a contact enquiry, CSR enquiry, donation pledge, volunteering interest or newsletter subscription, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. We use these submissions only to respond to you or deliver the service you requested — see our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party links and integrations

The Site links to third-party platforms — including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Google Search Console/Analytics, and payment providers. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those platforms; their own terms apply when you use them.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Site available and up to date, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change or remove content, programmes and features at any time.

9. Disclaimer

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" basis for information about our work. Impact figures, retention rates and learner numbers are reported to the best of our knowledge and audited periodically. Nothing on the Site is professional, legal, medical or financial advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Educa Foundation is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of your use of the Site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute connected with the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal.
