Information you give us
- Contact enquiries — name, email, subject, mobile number, message.
- CSR enquiries — name, organisation, role, work email, phone, focus areas, budget indication.
- Donation pledges — name, email, phone, pledge amount, sponsorship tier, message.
- Volunteer/partner interest — name, email, organisation, role, area of interest, message.
- Newsletter — name (optional) and email.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp) to keep the Site secure and diagnose errors.
- Anonymised analytics (page views, device type, country) via Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
Programme information
Personal details of learners and their families are collected offline, at partner schools and community centres, with informed consent. This information is not entered on this Site.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry, pledge or volunteering interest.
- To process donations and issue 80G-eligible receipts.
- To send the newsletter you subscribed to.
- To share programme updates and impact reports with partners and CSR sponsors.
- To improve the Site — content, performance and accessibility.
- To meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations in India.
4. Legal basis
We rely on your consent (forms and newsletter), the performance of our commitments to you (issuing receipts, delivering updates you asked for), and our legitimate interest in running the foundation transparently and securely.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers under contract — cloud hosting, database and authentication (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), email delivery, payment processors, analytics (Google), and social sharing (LinkedIn) — strictly to run the services listed above.
- Auditors and regulators — where required by Indian law, including tax and FCRA-related reporting.
- CSR partners — aggregated, non-identifying programme data. Individual donor details are shared only with the donor's consent.
6. Cookies and tracking
The Site uses essential cookies to keep sessions working, and privacy-respectful analytics cookies to understand which content is useful. You can block cookies in your browser; some features (like the admin area) may then stop working.
7. Data retention
- Donation and 80G records: retained for the period required by Indian tax law (typically 8 years).
- Contact, CSR and volunteer enquiries: up to 3 years from last interaction, then deleted or anonymised.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Server logs and analytics: rolling windows of 14 months or less.
8. Security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to personal information is limited to authorised staff on a need-to-know basis. Secrets and API keys are held in a managed secrets store, never in source code.
9. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete or anonymise your data, subject to legal retention rules for donations.
- Withdraw consent to newsletters or programme updates.

10. Children
The Site is not directed at children. Where our programmes involve minors, personal information is collected offline with parental or guardian consent and is not published on the Site.
11. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside India (for example, cloud hosting and analytics). We only use providers with reasonable safeguards for personal information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our programmes and tools evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
